We are pleased to be working with Gateway Classic Mustang and BF Goodrich to offer 2 full days of track time at one the nation's finest tracks.
While we are celebrating our Ford Legacy, this is event is open to all makes and models so spread the word.
Run group assignment you select during registration may be changed by the Chief Instructor based on driver experience/resume information that you provide during this registration process. You will receive/confirm your group assignment when you check in at Registration at the track. Run groups will be limited to no more than 40 cars each/day with the exception of the Novice Group. The Novice Group will be limited to 20 cars each day based on Instructor availability. We expect the event to sell out so register as soon as possible please.
Experience levels for run groups:
A = Advanced (Solo Driving & Open Passing with documented advanced driver status or competition license). Required Dress For Safety will be helmets, long sleeves and long pants, and closed shoes. To run in this class you must also have a fire extinguisher, and full race harness installed in your car.
B = Intermediate 2 (Solo driving with documented advanced driver status). Required Dress For Safety will be helmets, long pants, long sleeve shirt, and closed toe shoes.
C = Intermediate 1 (Experienced with several driving school and open track events). Required Dress For Safety will be helmets, long pants, long sleeve shirt, and closed toe shoes.
D = Novice (Limited experience with one or two prior driving schools or open track events, instruction required). Required Dress For Safety will be helmets, long pants, long sleeve shirt, and closed toe shoes.
Car Sharing: Contact Kyle Caraway at shelbyfestinfo@gmail.com or 573-268-3090 before registering if you plan to share a car between two drivers who must be qualified to participate in different run groups as determined by the Chief Instructors, Jason and Lonny Childress. Separate registrations including payment of separate registration fees are required for each driver. Again, students may not share a car in the same run group. Open cockpit cars permitted (with stock equipped roll bars, etc.) at the discretion of the lead instructors. To make sure your car is acceptable, please contact Jason Childress at 573-732-3541 Examples of open cockpit cars are BMW Z3s, Convertible Miatas w/o a full competition cage, Convertible Mustangs, AC Cobras, Aerial Atoms, etc.
We will be accepting cars for the day of the event, but you must be at the track no later than 7am so you can register and be ready to be at the 8am driver's meeting.
