2023's show is dedicated to Linda Caraway.
What words can be found to describe someone who was so important to us all. Her family sure loved her and she loved all of us in return.
My mother spent years involved in Scouting, as an advisor to a service fraternity, and taking care of, and helping people everywhere she went. Mom was a "do-er" and she loved being a part of Shelbyfest and she genuinely enjoyed visiting with everyone as they checked in at registration.
Dick had been a friend and attendee of Shelbyfest since the early days along with his wife Mary. He always made time for ice cream.
Mary had been a part of Shelbyfest since the very beginning when she and her husband Reg attended our first informal get together in 2006. Mary showed everyone how it was done on more than one occasion when she piloted their 08 Super Snake on the road course.
Alan was not only on of the finest musicians you could ever share a stage with, but just a genuinely amazing human and one of our founder's best friends. He owned a 66 Hertz Shelby several years ago and his last mustang was a 2012 GT premium.
We've lost some good friends and we'll feature them here, all gone too soon.
Cancer is a terrible disease that affects all of us unfortunately. The spirit and energy of these fine folks will live on forever and the impact they made on our lives was immeasurable.
Please consider donating to your favorite cancer based charity and consider supporting our friend Dan Neve and his Cruise4aCause.org as he has helped raise over $600,000 to battle this terrible disease.
